Extra informatie over deze studie
NL
- ernstige leverziekte: cirrose kind B of C, of acute ernstige leverziekte
- macrolide-antibiotica (claritromycine, telitromycine)
- azol-antischimmelmiddelen (ketoconazol, voriconazol, fluconazol, itraconazol)
- ciclosporine
- hiv-medicatie (ritonavir, lopinavir, tipranavir, atazanavir, darunavir, indinavir, saquinavir)
ENG
Your patient is participating in the COL BE PCI trial. This trial is designed to evaluate the hypothesis of reduction of recurrent cardiovascular events with low dose oral colchicine 0.5 mg once daily versus placebo, when administered to patients with established coronary artery disease treated with percutaneous coronary intervention and optimal medical therapy.
Colchicine should not be given in patients with:
- severe kidney insufficiency: creatinine clearance <30 mL/min/1.73 m2 and/or
- severe liver disease: cirrhosis Child B or C, or acute severe hepatic disease
- Auto-immune disease or other condition requiring current or planned chronic systemic steroids, immunosuppressant or biologic drug targeting the immune system (for example, TNF blockers, anakinra, rituximab, abatacept, tocilizumab etc.).
- Need for colchicine treatment for other indication. In this case we ask to contact the trial sponsor.
Colchicine should not be used in conjunction with strong inhibitors of CYP3A4 and P-glycoprotein:
- macrolide antibiotics (clarithromycin, telithromycin)
- azole antifungal agents (ketoconazole, voriconazole, fluconazole, itraconazole)
- cyclosporine
- HIV medication (ritonavir, lopinavir, tipranavir, atazanavir, darunavir, indinavir, saquinavir)
Colchicine should not be used:
- during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Exclusion and discontinuation criteria have been implemented in the trial. Please contact your Principal Investigator or Trial Coordinator.

Votre patient participe à l'essai clinique COL BE PCI.
